Central Texas’ Largest Gastroenterology Practice Celebrates 20 years
Austin, TX – (August 1, 2020) –Austin Gastroenterology is celebrating its 20th anniversary serving the Central Texas community. The first and largest group of physicians in Central Texas specializing in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of digestive and liver diseases, Austin Gastroenterology’s 34 gastroenterologists and 29 advanced practice providers have collectively cared for the Austin area community since the 1980’s. After physicians in three separate practices officially joined forces as Austin Gastroenterology in 2000, they continue to expand their services in the community with 16 clinic locations, two infusion centers, and three endoscopy centers, including a new endoscopy center located in Bee Cave, Texas.
“Our mission at Austin Gastroenterology is to continually strive to provide the highest quality of care that meets and exceeds national standards, and to ensure we do everything we can to improve access to affordable care for patients in our community,” says Dr. Bruce Levy, who has served as the practice’s CEO since 2001. “We have been very careful in our approach to growing our practice to keep up with Austin’s exploding population, without compromising our standards for providing top quality care.”
Austin Gastroenterology currently has six clinic locations in Austin, two in Round Rock, and eight additional clinics located in Bastrop, Bee Cave, Cedar Park, Dripping Springs, Georgetown, Kyle, Manor, and Marble Falls. Twelve of the physicians who founded Austin Gastroenterology continue to be an integral part of the team today. This includes Drs. Eduardo Alcocer, Scott Becker, Shad Dabaghi, Kenneth Ellis, Robert Frachtman, Kevin Hsu, Craig Lubin, Richard Sperling, George Willeford, and John Ziebert.
Austin Gastroenterology is pleased to announce the addition of six new physicians starting in September of 2020. These physicians include Drs. Parastoo Jangouk, Vijay Dalapathi, Karthik Garapati, Mark Cooper, David Kim, and Sanaa Arastu. These new providers will practice in Georgetown, Cedar Park, Round Rock, and in Austin.
