Meet Dr. Navdeep Chehl
Dr. Navdeep Chehl is a board-certified gastroenterologist. He graduated from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor with a B.S. in Brain, Behavior & Cognitive Science, and received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He subsequently completed his internal medicine residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, after which he worked as a hospitalist.
Dr. Chehl joined Austin Gastroenterology in 2019 after completing his gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship training in the Clinician Scholars pathway at University of Maryland Medical Center, Mercy Medical Center, and Baltimore VA Medical Center. His research has been presented at numerous national society conferences and published in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals. He enjoys practicing all aspects of general gastroenterology and hepatology and has particular clinical interests in esophageal diseases (including GERD, Barrett’s esophagus, eosinophilic esophagitis, and motility disorders) and inflammatory bowel disease.
