Several employees of Austin Gastroenterology explain why they love working here:
-Anna Ward (PSR at North since 2018):
“Everyone is so nice and helpful and I always feel like if I need help getting something done, I can always rely on somebody else to explain something to me and everyone is very willing to help.”
-Crystal Hale (PSR at South since 2015):
“I honestly love the patients. I love knowing that I came in that day and even though they probably were not feeling their best, I made their day a little better because they feel like they’ve been heard. They feel like they’ve been taken care of from start to finish."
-Erika Fabian (MA at Central since 2006):
“It’s busy, but it keeps us going. And time goes by fast. We try to be supportive and make our patients feel a little bit better. We’re a family, a big family. Everybody is supportive.”
-April Lobo (MA at North since 2008):
"I love working with patients. I love being able to help people out. And the end reward of them feeling good is a good feeling for me too. Especially, we try to go above and beyond for them.”
-Danielle Horn (PSR at Central since 2008):
“We have a lot of patient interaction, communication over the phone, patient portal, walk ins. I love the environment, the doctors, the staff, and the patients, working with the patients.”
-Leigh Churion (Triage Specialist at Central since 2013):
“There’s a lot of favorite parts. Probably first of all my coworkers because we’ve made a bond. We’re like family. I love being around a group of people that they’re all dedicated to the same thing, getting patients well.”
-Leslie Wood (PSR at North since 2016):
“I love going wherever they need me to go because I’m trained in all different positions, I can be useful wherever they need me. And I enjoy that. I like to be useful. And the variety, you’re not doing the same thing every single day, day in and day out. So I really enjoy that.”
-Stephanie Serrano (PSR at South since 2014):
“My favorite part about working for AG is that everyone is so helpful and welcoming. I absolutely love working for AG because I have grown with the company and have learned so much and continue to learn daily.”
-Robin Price (Billing TL at Central Business Office since 2009):
“Well I love the flexibility [at the Central Business Office]. It’s a good work environment. Pretty much the group that I work with. We all get along well. There’s not a lot of drama, which is nice.”
-Patricia Wetherbee (Patient Account Rep at Central Business Office since 2017):
“Our job is to just make sure that the patient’s experience is the best experience they can have. We have great management support. I don’t think that there’s a team lead here that hasn’t ever helped us with any question that we’ve had, so we have a great team environment.”
-Vanessa Valle (B&E Specialist at Central Business Office since 2012):
“[I love] working in a team, it’s very important to be a team player. My favorite part would have to be the employee recognition. I think AG is very big on that, and I think that’s important. Also PTO is a bonus too. And then the benefits are great.”
-Donna Haas (PSR at South since 2012):
“They’ve been a good company to work for. I’m just right at my 7 years of being here. I think my managers have done a good job of making me feel good at what I’m doing. I enjoy the team. We laugh."
-Kelsi Byrn (MA at South since 2018):
“My favorite part is my coworkers. Everyone here is like family. We all get along. And I like the energetic, fast- paced environment. And definitely the doctors I work for. They’re awesome.”
