Meet Dr. Andy Tau
Dr. Andy Tau is a board certified and fellowship trained gastroenterologist. Prior to joining Austin Gastroenterology, Dr. Tau served as the chief GI fellow for the 2017-2018 school year. Dr. Tau was a resident and chief resident of the Baylor Internal Medicine Residency Program. While training in residency Dr. Tau received the McIntosh Award for the best resident in his class as voted by his faculty and peers.
Dr. Tau is published in recognized medical journals and has presented at multiple meetings at both the local and national level. He is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Tau was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and is a first generation Chinese American. His parents immigrated to the United States from Taiwan. Dr. Tau speaks Spanish and Chinese (Mandarin).
