Testimonials

“Dr. Ellis is an incredible doctor. My mother passed away from colon cancer 16 years ago, and I have been terrified of colonoscopies and doctors ever since. I also have had a series of alarming symptoms, at least to me, for the past five years but never worked up the courage to get an endoscopy.

I had the blessing of being paired up with Dr. Ellis as my doctor two years ago when I was trying to get some digestive issues addressed and went to Austin Gastroenterology. He is witty, has a great sense of humor, and will immediately put you at ease. Most importantly, he cares about his patients.

I felt comfortable with him as my Dr. right off the bat, and the most amazing thing is, despite the fact I repeatedly canceled my colonoscopy tons of times due to fear, it was ultimately his confidence in his diagnosis of me from our first meeting and how comfortable he made me about a procedure I was terrified about to finally get me to go for my colonoscopy two days ago. After two years of delaying, everything he told me in our first meeting about what his impression/diagnosis of what was causing my symptoms was true. Luckily, I didn’t have polyps at all.

Anyone who needs a colonoscopy or endoscopy, please see Dr. Ellis. He is one of the best doctors I have encountered and am grateful to God that he was able to treat me, plus empower me to finally get a colonoscopy. Thank you, Austin Gastroenterology, for helping me take my life back. You guys are amazing…and thank you once again, Dr. Ellis, for being such an amazing doctor.

Also, shout out to the amazing support staff that made my procedures such a breeze…the professionalism and friendliness here is incredible.” – Greg F. (Yelp)

“I was concerned seeing a new Dr. My other gastro seemed like I was a problem. I couldn’t get into see him, and I never had trust with him. However, when Dr. Ellis walked in, he allowed me to have a level of trust off the bat. He seemed to care, and he told me more about UC that I have had for 10 plus years, than I ever knew. I am excited to see how well our dr/patient relationship works, because I have struggled with my last one and it makes for a challenge.” – Andrea H. (Healthgrades)

“Dr. Ellis has been my gastroenterologist for 10 years. He has been friendly and easy to feel comfortable with and talk to. He is very knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor.” – Anonymous (Healthgrades)

“Dr. Ellis is so awesome. He immediately makes me feel like he will help me and heal me. He actually takes his time and talks to me to figure out the core/root of the problem. Thank you, Dr. Ellis, for being so patient and kind.” – Anonymous (Healthgrades)

“Dr. Ellis was fun, personable, and happy. He referred me to a specialist in the type of cancer/surgery I needed to have removed. He was up front and honest about this, and I will continue to see him because of his honesty. I highly recommend him for any procedure or health concern. He is up front and straight forward.” – Jennifer (Healthgrades)

“I see several different specialists, and Dr. Ellis with Austin Gastroenterology Associates is by far the most knowledgeable and has the best bedside manner. Office staff is kind and always helpful.” – BC
