Meet Dr. Eyad Gharaibeh

Dr. Eyad Gharaibeh completed his gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, following his internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Kansas.

Dr. Gharaibeh’s passion for gastroenterology began with a fascination for the gut microbiome—the more than 100 trillion microorganisms that call the gastrointestinal tract home. This intricate ecosystem influences nearly every aspect of health, from mental well-being to immune function. Inspired by this connection, Dr. Gharaibeh chose gastroenterology as a specialty that addresses the full spectrum of human health. He is dedicated to helping patients optimize their nutrition, digestive health, and overall wellness for a healthier, happier life.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Gharaibeh is committed to advancing medicine through innovation. He is particularly interested in developing clinical tools and technologies that improve access to high-quality care within the complex American healthcare system. His excellence has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Resident Educator of the Year Award, the SCOPY Award for Colon Cancer Awareness, the American College of Gastroenterology NACGF Research Award, and the American Gastroenterological Association Innovation Fellow Award. Dr. Gharaibeh strives to ensure that every patient leaves his care with a renewed sense of hope and excitement for a healthier future.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Gharaibeh enjoys spending time with his family, exploring nature, and savoring Arabic cuisine—always with an eye toward nourishing his own microbiome.
