Meet Dr. Benjamin Havemann

Dr. Benjamin Havemann graduated from the University of Texas at Austin Plan II Honors Program. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and then went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Following his residency training, Dr. Havemann was invited to serve an additional year as chief medical resident at the Methodist Hospital and Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston. He then completed his fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Baylor College of Medicine.

In 2006, Dr. Havemann joined Scott & White Healthcare in Round Rock, where he served as Director of the Division of Gastroenterology for six years. During this time, he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.

Dr. Havemann is published in recognized medical journals and has presented his research at multiple medical symposia. He is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Havemann joined Austin Gastroenterology in 2012.
