Infusion Centers

Female GI care provider palpating her patient's abdomen on an exam table.

If you have a chronic, severe gastrointestinal autoimmune condition that has not responded to oral medications, your Austin Gastro stomach doctor may prescribe infusion therapy at one of our infusion centers. You may be a candidate if you have inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. In addition to infusion therapy for IBD, we also offer iron infusions to treat anemia in adult patients.

During infusion therapy, an experienced registered nurse will administer your medication intravenously. Our infusion nurse works closely with your physician and advanced practice providers to deliver a seamless continuum of care.

We at Austin Gastroenterology are dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment for our infusion patients. Conveniently located in the same building as our Shoal Creek – Northwest office, our infusion center features comfortable reclining chairs, flat screen TVs, and Wi-Fi internet access.
