Laura Johnson began her career with Austin Gastroenterology in October 2002, working under the supervision of Drs. Stassen, Ziebert and Ellis. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio in May of 1992, and then worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Parkland Hospital in Dallas for 7 years. She returned to school to finish her Physician Assistant studies at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and graduated in August of 2002. She is certified through the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is a member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Laura really enjoys working with people and the constant challenges that are presented in the medical field.
