Cindy Carswell joined Austin Gastroenterology in 1994 as the Practice Manager for all of the north offices to include Round Rock, Seton Northwest, Georgetown, Renfert Way, and Cedar Park.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in Management and has more than 26 years experience in the healthcare field setting.  She has successfully completed a series of Dale Carnegie courses and is an active member of the Professional Association of Healthcare Office Management (PAHCOM). Prior to moving to Texas, Cindy was the Business Manager for an independent laboratory with more than 250 employees and played a key role in moving that company from a hospital (not-for-profit) setting to a for-profit setting.  She has also been responsible for opening offices in three other cities as well as overseeing all business aspects of those offices.  Cindy’s broad expertise includes medical office management, billing and accounting, payroll, and effectively managing human resources in a rapidly changing environment.  AG team members who report to Cindy describe her as high-energy, caring and a manager who enthusiastically supports a team-based approach to meeting the needs of AG patients. Cindy is committed to ensure that the AG mission is never forgotten as she continues to strive to find the best possible solution for the patients, physicians, and employees.  She brings her extensive experience and dedication to an ever-changing field, but always maintains the highest regard for patient care.
