Research

Austin Gastroenterology, PA is a private practice composed of 17 board certified Gastroenterologists, with seven offices and two outpatient Endoscopy centers located in the greater Austin metropolitan area.

Our primary Research Office is located out of our South Office; our workspace is comprised of a phlebotomy area with centrifuge, a double locked drug storage area, locking refrigerator, and negative 30-degree freezer for sample storage. Our research team consists of all 17 doctors, 7 PA-C’s, 2 Clinical Nurse specialists, 1 full time Medical Director, and a Managing Research Coordinator. Together, we have over 35 years of research experience.

Our physicians and staff are dedicated to offering our patients new and promising medication alternatives, exclusively available through Clinical Research Participation. With regard to confidentiality, our infrastructure provides a key advantage for us with the newly implemented Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (H.I.P.A.A.).

We are conducting a clinical research study for women who suffer from dyspepsia. Eligible volunteers will receive a medical exam, and a screening test to determine if they qualify for a specific study. Selected study participants may receive a small financial compensation for their time to participate in the study.

Please contact the Austin Gastroenterology Research department at 512-532-8028 to find out more information regarding this and other study opportunities.

Additionally, we are currently conducting research within the following therapeutic areas:

  • Hepatitis C
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Ulcerative Colitis
  • Dyspepsia

We also have research experience in other therapeutic areas including: Gastritis, Esophageal Reflux and Disorders, Gastric and Duodenal Ulcers, Hemorrhoids, and Colon Polyps.
