Robert Frachtman, M.D.

Certified Gastroenterology

Dr. Frachtman attended medical school at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his internship, residency and Chief Medical Residency at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. His fellowship in Gastroenterology was completed at the University of Washington in Seattle. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He holds membership in the Texas Medical Association and the Travis County Medical Society. He is also a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Frachtman has held several appointments and positions including the Chief of Gastroenterology at Seton Medical Center from 1993-1995 and Chief of Staff, North Austin Medical Center, 1999-2000. Dr. Frachtman was chosen “Consulting Physician of the Year” by CTMF, Internal Medicine Residents in 1988. He practiced in Austin with Austin Diagnostic Clinic from 1984 to 1998 and joined Austin Gastroenterology Associates, which later became Austin Gastroenterology P.A., in February 1998.
