Dr. Becker has practiced in Austin since 1990. He attended medical school at Boston University School of Medicine. His internship and residency were completed at Boston City Hospital and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Boston University Medical Center. During that time, he received a research fellowship grant from the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. He served as instructor and assistant professor of medicine at University Hospital at Boston University Medical Center from 1988-1990. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He holds memberships in the American College of Physicians, American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology and the Texas Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy. He is also a member of the Travis County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Becker is the director of clinical research for Austin Gastroenterology.
